The Effect of Transformational Leadership Style and Work Motivation on Employee Performance at the Crown Inn Hotel Makassar

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Transformational Leadership Style and Work Motivation on Employee Performance at the Crown Inn Hotel Makassar. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection through a questionnaire survey distributed to hotel employees. The data obtained were then analyzed using SPSS version 27 with a series of statistical tests such as the t-test and F-test to test the partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of the t-test indicate that Transformational Leadership Style has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.447 and a significance value (Sig.) of .037. In addition, Work Motivation also has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.667 and a significance value (Sig.) of 0.011. Simultaneously, the results of the F test show that Transformational Leadership Style and Work Motivation together have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, with an F count value of 12.025 and a significance (Sig.) of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.471 indicates that approximately 47.1% of the variation in Employee Performance can be explained by Transformational Leadership Style and Work Motivation. This shows that both variables together have a significant effect on the level of employee performance.
