Abstrak
The digital transformation of education has generated a digital divide that significantly impacts equitable access to economic learning, with students from low socio-economic groups experiencing learning losses of up to nine months during distance learning. This research aims to analyze the characteristics of the digital divide in economic education in Indonesia for the 2018-2025 period, identify the mechanisms of its impact on learning achievement and digital economic literacy, reveal moderating factors, and formulate theoretical implications and evidence-based practical recommendations. The research employs a qualitative approach with library research design, analyzing scientific publications from 2020-2025 from Sinta-accredited national journals and Scopus/Web of Science indexed international journals through thematic content analysis. The digital divide exhibits multi-level characteristics encompassing individual, family, institutional, geographical, competency, and content dimensions. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated disparities with 68 million students conducting distance learning with varying readiness levels. Direct impacts were identified in limitations of economic concept understanding, digital literacy, and access to economic information, with mediation mechanisms through learning efficiency and quality of academic interactions. Moderating factors include family socio-economic status, student motivation, educator competency, and institutional policies. Multi-stakeholder mitigation strategies are recommended that integrate equitable infrastructure development, device subsidy programs, educator digital competency training, and strategic government-private sector-nonprofit organization collaboration to create an inclusive and sustainable economic learning system.
