Abstract
The application of contextual learning models has become the main focus in improving student learning outcomes, especially in Social Sciences (IPS) learning at the elementary school level. This model places learning in the context of students' real lives, allowing them to form academic concepts with everyday experiences. With this approach, students are exposed to situations that are relevant to their lives, triggering curiosity and deeper involvement in the learning process. Literature research regarding the application of contextual learning models to student learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS) learning in elementary schools shows a number of relevant findings. In systematic literature analysis, many researchers highlight that contextual learning models are effective in improving student learning outcomes at various levels of education, including at the elementary school level. Various studies show that by integrating learning material into the context of students' daily lives, they tend to have better understanding and higher engagement in the learning process. Apart from that, research also shows that the application of contextual learning models in social studies learning in elementary schools can increase students' learning motivation and facilitate a deeper understanding of concepts. By exploring real-life situations, students can see the relevance and application of social studies concepts in a broader context, allowing them to develop critical and analytical thinking skills.
