Abstract
This research aims to determine the influence of using the Advance Organizer learning model on the critical thinking skills of students in the Computer Science subject for Grade X Mia Al Kindi at SMAN 13 Pangkep. The study adopts a classroom action research design with two cycles, involving a total population of 81 students distributed across three classes, with one class (34 students) selected as the sample. Data collection methods include tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Microsoft Excel is employed for data analysis. Results reveal that students' perspectives on the use of the Advance Organizer learning model in instruction fall into the "good" category. The utilization of the Advance Organizer learning model has a positive and significant impact on students' critical thinking skills in the Computer Science subject for Grade X Mia Al Kindi at SMAN 13 Pangkep. This is evidenced by the increased scores in both questionnaires and tests, indicating a significant influence of the Advance Organizer learning model in instruction. This is further supported by the average scores in Cycle I and Cycle II, which are 60.00 and 87.76, respectively, with a considerable difference range of 12.76. Thus, it can be concluded that the Advance Organizer learning model has a significant impact on students' critical thinking skills.
