Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine learning satisfaction in social studies learning for class IX students after the Covid-19 pandemic using synchronous and asynchronous methods at Bontonompo Private MTs, Gowa Regency. This research is a type of qualitative research which aims to obtain a holistic understanding of phenomena related to the subject's experience. The subjects in this research were teachers and students. Data collection techniques in this research include interview, observation and documentation techniques. To test the reliability of the data (Data Reliability), the researcher carried out triangulation. In analyzing qualitative data it is divided into three stages of activity, namely (1) data transcription, (2) analysis of various sources, namely conducting in-depth interviews with subjects, (3) data analysis, (4) data classification coding, (5) data verification by triangulation, (6) data interpretation, and (7) drawing conclusions. The research results show that social studies learning at Bontonompo Private MTs after Covid-19 was carried out using online learning. In delivering social studies material, two methods are used, namely synchronous and asynchronous. With synchronous learning, students feel satisfied because they can understand the material better and it is done face to face via online at the same time with WhatsApp and Zoom. Likewise, with the asynchronous approach, students also feel satisfied because they can think more creatively and proactively about which videos to upload. using Google Classroom. Synchronous and asynchronous learning is considered successful because students feel satisfied with the learning outcomes because it facilitates interaction between teachers and students. Synchronous and asynchronous social studies learning is equally effective because the learning process takes place anywhere and at any time.
