PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN APLIKASI WHATSAPP DAN GOOGLE CLASSROOM TERHADAP KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN DARING

Abstract
This research is an expo facto research using a descriptive quantitative approach. The research objectives were to find out: 1) an overview of the use of the WhatsApp application, 2) an overview of the use of the Google Classroom application, 3) the effect of using the WhatsApp and Google Classroom applications on student learning independence in online learning. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire which is measured by a Likert scale. The sample in the study was 25 fifth grade students at SD Negeri 2 Lejang Kecamatan Bungoro Kab. Pangkep. The results showed that the use of the whatsapp application was in a good category as well as the use of the google classroom application, there was an effect of using the whatsapp and google classroom applications on student learning independence in online learning with the contribution of whatsapp to learning independence of 26.6% and the contribution of Google Classroom to independent learning is 28.7%. For every 1% increase in the level of WhatsApp usage, learning independence will increase by 34.8% and for every 1% addition using Google Classroom, learning independence will increase by 34.3%. It can be concluded that there is an influence on the use of WhatsApp and Google Classroom applications on student learning independence in online learning.
