Abstract
This study aims to analyze the principal's strategies for improving teacher performance at SMK Tut Wuri Handayani, including strategy implementation, obstacles encountered, and implemented solutions. Furthermore, this study examines how teachers plan, implement, and evaluate the learning process. The study employed a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation studies with the principal and teachers. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the principal's strategies include performance coaching through a persuasive approach and professional development activities, systematic clinical supervision, ongoing discipline coaching, motivation through harmonious working relationships, and various forms of rewards. Obstacles encountered included low responsiveness on the part of some teachers, limited supervision time, and a lack of discipline and motivation. To address these issues, the principal implemented managerial improvements and increased coaching to optimize teacher performance.
