Abstract

This study uses a library research method or literature study. Indonesia is known as a pluralistic nation or the term modern multicultural society. In fact, multiculturalism is an understanding that culture emphasizes acceptance of the reality of diversity, plurality, and multiculturalism that exist in social life. Multiculturalism must meet three requirements in the form of interaction, openness and learning. In addition, multiculturalism faces challenges due to cultural acculturation, which results in the shifting of Pancasila values ​​as the identity of the Indonesian nation. Furthermore, Indonesia as a pluralistic nation, because it has a variety of tribes, religions, languages, customs and cultures, joins and collaborates with each other, so that an Indonesian national identity is formed.
